The Client
Jessica and her husband Patrick dreamed of creating a space where teenagers, family, and friends could gather outside of their main home. Their vision: a pool house that doubles as an entertainment space, complete with a full kitchen, bath, and thoughtful cabinetry solutions to support everything from casual snacks to large family meals. They wanted minimal upper cabinets, a large island, and design continuity between the spaces.
The Challenge
The Reavers had a wide open, unfinished structure with incredible potential but no clear direction for how to make it functional, beautiful, and cohesive. With plumbing and structural elements already in place, they needed expert cabinetry design that could work with existing constraints while maximizing storage, flow, and style.
The Solution
Sterling Woodworks designed a full kitchen and coordinating bath that embraced the open concept while anchoring the space with a statement-making island. The island became the heart of the design—offering storage, built-in appliances, and gathering space for teenagers and adults alike. Minimal upper cabinetry was balanced with expansive lower cabinetry and thoughtful accessories, keeping the look clean and open while ensuring the kitchen remained highly functional.
