Project Summary

The Client

A family well known in their community for their compassion, generosity, and love of celebration. With a bustling household and a farm that often becomes the heart of the party, they dreamed of a kitchen that was not only functional but also a reflection of their upbeat spirit and welcoming nature.

The Challenge

The existing kitchen was weighed down by outdated soffits and a layout that didn’t support the family’s love for entertaining. Storage was limited, the island was undersized, and the overall flow fell short of the lively gatherings the family is known for.

The Solution

Sterling Woodworks removed the soffit and reimagined the layout, creating a larger, more functional island that anchors the space. Hickory cabinetry paired with muted green tones achieved a modern farmhouse look with warmth and personality. The cabinetry was outfitted with all the bells and whistles—from utensil pullouts to cutlery and knife inserts—bringing beauty and function to every corner. A wine rack and beverage cooler were seamlessly incorporated, making it easier than ever to host and entertain.

Solution: Added tray dividers, “No Wiggle” pull-outs, utensil pullouts, and peg board inserts to maximize organization and ensure everything has its place.
Solution: Designed a more substantial custom island that serves as the heart of the kitchen—perfect for meals, conversations, and celebrations.
Solution: Balanced hickory cabinets with soft green accents, mixing modern farmhouse charm with custom details that make the space distinctively theirs.
